Amy is a native of the Phoenix area, having grown up in the Tempe-Scottsdale area. Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Geography, cum laude, from Arizona State University, specializing in data analysis using GIS. She was granted admission into the national geography honor society, Gamma Theta Upsilon, for earning a 4.0 GPA in her geography coursework. Between undergrad and law school, Amy worked in the construction industry in Phoenix at engineering and landscape architecture firms, focusing on state and federal environmental compliance documentation and proposals.

Amy received her Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, with a Certificate Specialization in Environmental Law from the Center for the Study of Law, Science & Technology. While in law school, Amy was on the Moot Court Board, which is student-led and responsible for organizing the law school’s internal moot court competitions and managing the travelling Moot Court teams. Amy also interned at the Arizona Department of Water Resources Legal Division where she assisted in editing Assured and Adequate Water Supply and groundwater permit program documents, policy statements and administrative rules.

In her many years of practice prior to joining Gottlieb Law, Amy gained experience in a variety of diverse practice areas at local law firms, including Arizona surface and groundwater rights, environmental litigation, State and Federal administrative law, insurance defense (primarily construction defect), commercial litigation, appellate work, debt collection and general business matters.

She had the honor of sitting second chair in a FINRA arbitration where the client was awarded a high-six figure judgment. She has also been the primary drafter of winning motions for summary judgment in the clients’ favor, which were affirmed when the opposing party appealed. Overall, Amy applies her unique background and extensive knowledge of a variety of scientific and technical disciplines to serve her business clients’ needs in both litigation and general business matters.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys being outdoors, watching sci-fi/fantasy movies and procedural crime drama series with her husband and volunteering with her son’s Boy Scout Troop and high school swim team.
