Christopher W. Duren. Esq.
Chris Duren joins Gottlieb Law with a real estate law and civil litigation background.
Prior to joining Gottlieb Law, Duren owned his own law firm for 26 years, starting his law practice right out of law school with an emphasis on real estate law and civil litigation. This real estate real litigation experience has included representing both individuals and businesses in almost every type of real estate transaction and dispute. He has litigated cases involving fraud, home defect disclosure, quiet title, partition, adverse possession, easement disputes, home construction defect, commercial lease disputes and breach of contract. Duren’s litigation experience has included conducting jury trials as first chair at both the State and Federal level.
For twenty of those years, Duren also was also the supervising attorney for his own title company. This experience included not only having to examine title for thousands of varied real estate transactions, but most importantly being involved in resolving any chain of title defects that arose to successfully to bring the transaction to closing.
Duren has shared his real estate experience by giving CLE seminars for the National Business Institute which included Real Estate Transaction Strategies and Handling Real Estate Transactions with Confidence.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Cumberland Law School, Samford University where he was a member of their National Trial Team. Cumberland is routinely ranked as a top ten school in the nation for Trial Advocay by U.S. News & World Report.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (“GoBadgers”) receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science and Law. When he was not operating his own law firm or putting himself through school, Duren found time to be a Middle School Football Coach for 29 years retiring in the fall of 2023.
